The Backdraft Story

TR-Tec was founded in January 2002 to manufacture hand-built niche automobiles. The Backdraft Roadster has evolved considerably over the years and is established as one of the industry leaders in producing turnkey Cobra replicas. Development of the Mark I Roadster started in December 2000, with the first examples shown to the public in October 2001. In 2003 the production facility was consolidated into a 5,000m² building south of Durban, South Africa — giving us the space to manufacture and refine every roadster that leaves the factory.
